Future Press has unveiled a new volume in its Elden Ring Official Strategy Guide series. The Books of Knowledge collection contained key information, guidance, and lore regarding The Lands Between in Vol. 1 and Shards of the Shattering in Vol. 3. Now, in Vol. 3, Future Press turns its attention to Elden Ring’s sole expansion, the critically acclaimed Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. It releases on September 30 in the US and September 20 in the UK, and will cost $44.99 or £34.99 depending on your region. Pre-orders are available now via Amazon and Future Press.
Elden Ring Official Strategy Guide, Vol. 3: Shadow of the Erdtree

This new book will serve as a complete catalog of the Shadow Realm and its inhabitants, merging map-based world and dungeon guides with the detailed enemy and gear stats and analysis offered in previous editions. This would make for an indispensable reference for Elden Ring’s DLC, and an impressive collectible.
As you can see, this isn’t the first time that Future Press has provided such extensive coverage of FromSoftware’s games. They recently unveiled a brand new edition of the complete Bloodborne guide as part of the publisher’s 25th anniversary celebrations (pre-orders are currently 41% off ), and also produced the highly popular reprint of the Dark Souls Trilogy guide .
We gave Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree a 10/10, stating: “Like the base game before it, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree raises the bar for single-player DLC expansions. It takes everything that made the base game such a landmark RPG, condenses it into a relatively compact 20-25 hour campaign, and presents fantastic new challenges for heavily invested fans to chew on.”
Shadow of the Erdtree, due out June 21, 2024, will feature bosses that will truly test players’ limits, according to director Hidetaka Miyazaki. If Radahn is among those formidable foes, and while we wait for Future Press’ strategy guide, don’t miss IGN’s comprehensive guide for the lowdown on the expansion’s new weapons, questlines, and strategies for taking on the big man himself.
